Unveiling a Classic: Crafting the Gold Rush Cocktail

Every Whiskey Bliss whiskey tasting party includes a whiskey craft cocktail. The Gold Rush is always a favorite.

The sophistication of this classic cocktail has a timeless allure that delights all. (known as the Bees Knees when made with Gin) This exquisite cocktail, crafted from the fusion of bourbon, honey, and citrus, promises a symphony of flavors that will have you dreaming of a warm summer night. A simple, yet delightful recipe anyone can make.

Ingredients:

2 oz Bourbon

3/4 oz Freshly squeezed lemon juice

3/4 oz Honey syrup (mix equal parts honey and hot water, then cool)

Instructions:

1. Gather Your Bar Tools: Shaker, a jigger (our favorite linked) for precise measurements, and a strainer for the perfect cocktail.

2. Chill Your Glass: Place your glass in the freezer or fill it with ice water to ensure your Gold Rush is served in a perfectly chilled glass.

3. Measure & Pour: In your shaker, measure 2 ounces of your preferred bourbon. The choice of bourbon adds a depth of character, so feel free to explore different brands to find your favorite.

4. Add Citrus: Squeeze the juice from fresh lemons to yield 3/4 ounces of juice Pour this into the shaker with the bourbon.

5. Sweeten it up: Prepare your honey syrup by mixing equal parts honey and hot water. Allow it to cool before measuring 3/4 ounces into the shaker.

6. Shake, Shake, Shake: Seal your shaker and vigorously shake the ingredients. This not only blends the flavors but also adds frothiness to the cocktail.

7. Strain & Serve: Discard the ice from your chilled glass and strain your cocktail into it. The result is a perfect balance of sweetness, citrus with the warmth of bourbon.

8. Garnish: Elevate your Gold Rush by garnishing with a twist of lemon, a dried lemon slice or a wedge on the rim.

Whether you're a seasoned cocktail enthusiast or a novice explorer, the Gold Rush is always a crowd pleaser. Cheers to crafting and sipping on liquid gold
